Hive work

Inside the hive, thousands of worker bees work together in perfect harmony to create honey. Forager bees collect nectar from flowering trees and native bushland, storing it in a special “honey stomach” before returning to the hive. Once back, the nectar is passed between worker bees, where natural enzymes begin transforming it into honey.

The bees then place the nectar into wax honeycomb cells and use their wings to fan warm air through the hive, slowly reducing the moisture content until the honey reaches the perfect consistency. Once ready, the cells are sealed with a thin layer of beeswax to preserve the honey naturally.

Every jar of honey is the result of incredible teamwork, precision and thousands of individual journeys made by the bees each day.
