Harvesting
Behind every healthy hive is careful work from the beekeeper. Throughout the seasons, beekeepers monitor hive health, check honey stores, manage hive strength and ensure the bees have the best conditions to thrive. This includes inspecting brood health, maintaining hive equipment and moving hives to follow seasonal flowering across Western Australia.
When the honey is ready, frames filled with capped honeycomb are carefully removed from the hive and taken for extraction.
Beekeeping is a balance of patience, hard work and respect for the bees. Every harvest reflects not only the work of the bees themselves, but also the care taken to protect and manage the hive throughout the year.
