Extracting
Honey extraction is the final stage in transforming the bees’ hard work into the honey that reaches your table. Once the bees have filled and sealed the honeycomb with wax caps, the frames are carefully removed from the hive and taken to the extraction room.
The wax cappings are gently removed before the frames are placed into an extractor, where they are spun to release the honey from the comb using centrifugal force. The honey then flows through filters to remove natural wax particles while still preserving its raw flavour, colour and aroma.
After settling, the honey is poured into buckets with minimal processing to maintain its natural qualities.
