Decrystallising Your Honey

Why has my honey gone solid?
Pure, natural honey will naturally crystallise (sometimes called "candying") over time. This is completely normal and a sign that your honey has not been heavily processed. Crystallisation does not affect the quality, purity, or flavour of your honey.

How to return honey to a liquid state:

  1. Remove the lid from the jar.
  2. Place the jar in a bowl or sink of warm water (not boiling).
  3. Let it sit for 15–30 minutes, stirring occasionally if possible.
  4. Replace the water as needed until the crystals dissolve.
  5. Allow the honey to cool before use.

Important:
Avoid microwaving your honey or exposing it to excessive heat, as this can reduce some of the natural qualities that make honey special.

Remember: Crystallised honey is still perfectly good to eat and is delicious spread on toast, crumpets, or enjoyed straight from the spoon.
